Replacement of Flat Roofs
The flat roofs on St. Benedict Center were installed over twenty years ago and, thus, are already beyond the expected life span of such roofs. Over time the roofs’ rubber membrane, exposed to the hot sun and to the cold of winter, contracts and pulls away from its surface (see Picture above) until leaks occur more and more frequently. We have decided to replace our flat roofs in portions. Most urgent are the roofs above the original guest wing by the lake, because ceiling leaks can render guest rooms unusable until they are fixed (see Picture on right). Replacing the flat roofs of this guest wing is estimated to cost $ 100,000. We need your help with covering this expense. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
