Our Worldwide Benedictine Missionary Work

This new interactive permanent display tells the story of the Missionary Benedictines and their work in twenty-two countries and four continents. Visitors can explore the locations of the monasteries and mission stations and their history, as well as the monks’ work in the areas of evangelization, education, health care and sustainable living. Short videos with monks of Christ the King Priory explaining the Benedictine missionary activity are available on each of four monitors surrounding a globe on which the monasteries can be found. A wall shows artwork and images from all-over the world. Finally, a reading rail offers a timeline of the life and ministry of the local monastic community in Schuyler, of the Benedictine Mission House and of Christ the King Priory.
