My brother-in-law Bill Scholl was involved in a terrible explosion 15 years ago while serving as a fire fighter and broke his back; he is a parapalegic. My sister Katie is a nurse and has been caring for him since. Bill has now developed a deep wound on the base of his spine that is being treated by a plastic surgeon and infection specialist due to a growing drug resistant bacterial infection and fungal infection.
