Contemplative Photography: Seeing With the Eyes of the Heart

Our heart has a way of using our eyes to see without judgment or preconception. We see just what is. This way of seeing is much different from evaluation or even looking for beauty. It lets Divine Mystery be self-selecting in our vision. To see and photograph with the eyes of the heart is photography as meditation – contemplative photography. It is an “easy focus” way of photography that is about invitation rather than capture. This retreat, led by Rita Otis, offers ways to strengthen the spiritual muscle of seeing with the heart. Participants need to bring their own camera, and journal. A laptop to down load photos is optional.
