Sister Kathleen Courtney, OSB, a Benedictine sister from Sacred Heart Monastery, Yankton, SD, has been in full-time retreat work for over thirteen years, presenting retreats for adults and for students preparing for their Confirmation. Drawing from the wisdom of Saint Benedict, she assists people in practical, creative ways to find God in prayer and work, in gracious hospitality and in the nooks and crannies of daily living. She is also an experienced spiritual director.

Sister Marietta Kerkvliet, OSB, is a Benedictine Sister from Sacred Heart Monastery in Yankton SD. Her Bachelor Degree is in Elementary Education and her Masters in Religious Education. She is a certified Spiritual Director. She served as a DRE in St. John Vianney Parish in Omaha for 9 years before being called home to minister at the Monastery as Liturgist and Postulant Director. She especially enjoys balancing play with her work and prayer.
