Delving Deeper Into Sacred Scripture (Sharon Doran, M.A.)

Dive deeper into Sacred Scripture during this mini Bible School, which includes teaching, discussion and personal prayer, all in a relaxed retreat setting.  The topic will be JONAH vs. SIMON, Son of Jonah: Why do we run from the Lord?  Join Sharon Doran for a scriptural comparison of these 2 great biblical characters from the Old and New Testament, the prophet JONAH and SIMON, SON OF JONAH, whom, as apostle, Jesus gave the new name Peter.  You will be amazed at the incredible typology and internal themes of these two reluctant, flawed men of God.   As they surrender to God’s will, they are redeemed and used for powerful missions to advance His Kingdom.   Take a mid-summer break and come to this beautiful retreat setting for study, reflection and periods of silent prayer.   Am I like these two at all?  Do I ever run from the Lord?  What mission is He asking me to do in my life right now?  Am I a reluctant prophet?  Ends with Mass at 4:00 p.m.
