The Passion according to Luke
This year we will read and hear Luke’s account of the Passion of Jesus on Palm/Passion Sunday. Each evangelist has a unique way of presenting Jesus, the disciples and other characters in the passion story. We will take this day to explore how Luke weaves familiar elements of the story together to create the image of a dying Messiah and King who forgives his enemies and brings others along with him into the Kingdom. At the same time, we will see what kind of discipleship stands out for us in these final days of Jesus and what are to be the marks of the community who still gathers around to share in his Last Supper.
