St. Benedict says at the end of his Prologue: “But as we progress in this way of life and in faith, we shall run on the path of God’s commandments, our hearts overflowing with the inexpressible delight of love.”

Father Thomas A. Hillenbrand, OSB, STL, is a former monk of Blue Cloud Abbey, SD, which closed in Aug. of 2012. He is presently transferring his stability to Christ the King Priory in Schuyler, NE. In his over 50 years as a Benedictine monk, he has received his education and degrees from San Anselmo College in Rome and from Notre Dame University. After that he has served as novice master, Pastor on an Indian reservation, Chaplain at Mt. Marty College, Prior in Guatemala, and then Abbot at Blue Cloud for 16 years.
