In this retreat, presented by members of the monastic community of Christ the King Priory, Schuyler, we will explore Benedictine values, addressing in the conferences, among other topics, the balance of prayer and work, lectio divina, and the importance of silence in our noisy world. Come and treat yourself to a spiritual encounter in a peaceful setting. While on retreat, you will also get to know the community of the monks.

Father Anastasius Reiser, OSB, completed his studies of theology in Germany. He served as abbot of the Benedictine Abbey of Peramiho in Tanzania for eleven years. He joined the monastic community in Schuler in 2021.
Father Adam Patras, OSB, from Neligh, Nebraska, is the subprior of Christ the King Priory. He serves as treasurer of the Benedictine Mission House, as cellerar of the monastery, and as cantor.
Brother Tobias Dammert, OSB, a professed monk of 50 years, serves the community of Christ the King Priory as its mission procurator and liturgist. He holds a Certificate in Spiritual Direction from Benedictine Peace Center in Yankton, S.D.
