Perhaps you have been focusing for some time yourself, maybe even using it occasionally in spiritual direction. Maybe you sometimes ponder deeper questions about how biospiritual focusing relates to spirituality. Or perhaps you simply want to grow in this practice that you have found so helpful for yourself and others. We invite you to join us for a ‘deeper dive’ into this life-giving practice with other spiritual directors who also seek greater awareness and understanding.
This Level III program is for spiritual directors seeking to deepen their understanding of biospiritual focusing as well as how to help those they see for direction become more attentive to their embodied experience of God.
Beginning Residency - at St. Benedict Center, October 12, 2021, 5:00 p.m. – October 14, 2021, 4:00 p.m.
5 – 2-hr Monthly Zoom Sessions November 2021 – March 2022
Partnered Focusing – individual focusing sessions of with presenters and other participants between zoom sessions.
Total Cost: $650 (includes program fee, guest room, meals and taxes)
Debbie Sheehan and Jane King are experienced spiritual directors and retreat leaders, who have been practicing and teaching Biospiritual Focusing for many years. Both are adjunct lecturers in the Creighton University Christian Spirituality Program.

Deborah Sheehan, M.A., is an adjunct lecturer in the Creighton University Christian Spirituality Program, as well as an experienced spiritual director and retreat director. She has worked in a variety of settings to help young people and adults deepen their understanding of embodied spirituality, including teaching and practicing BioSpiritual Focusing for over two decades.
Jane King, M.A., is and experienced spiritual director and retreat leader. She is an adjunct lecturer in the Creighton University Christian Spirituality Program and has been practicing and teaching Biospiritual Focusing for many years.
