How to Deal with Stress and Tension in Our Lives!  (Fr. Joseph A. Miksch)

Do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink… Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?” (Matthew 6:25f) By learning a few basic concepts with lots of practice and placing our trust in the Lord Jesus, we can eliminate much of the stress we face in our daily lives. This retreat offers encouragement for the journey.

Father Joseph A. Miksch, the pastor of St. Isidore Parish in Columbus, NE, has been in pastoral ministry in the Archdiocese of Omaha for the past 55 years, and knows something about stress but, more importantly, has learned how to deal with it. One of the ways in which Fr. Joe deals with stress is by climbing mountains and flying airplanes. Exciting as these hobbies can be, they don’t compare to the excitement he experiences in his priestly ministry, witnessing “miracles of grace” time and again. People join him at daily Mass on TV, Facebook and YouTube throughout the US and even in Africa, Switzerland, Spain and Japan.
