Mysticism is known as union with God or the Absolute.
This union was interpreted as a religious experience, which provides certainty about God or a transcendental reality. In mystic states we both become one with the Absolute and we become aware of our oneness with all of creation. This retreat will reflect on the lives of various mystics who can teach us how to enter into the Holy Divine and learn how to dwell, ponder and meditate so as to welcome the divine infusion of the Holy One. Mystics to be reviewed include Catherine of Siena, Meister Eckhart, Hildegard of Bingen, Julian of Norwich, St. Francis de Sales, St. Francis of Assisi, and Edith Stein.
