90 Years Missionary Benedictines in Schuyler, NE
March 31, 1935, is the official date when the Mission House was established in Schuyler, NE.
We Missionary Benedictines are grateful for 90 years in the heartland of America from which we direct our ministries and fundraising activities in support of the international Missionary Benedictine Congregation of St. Ottilien.
The photo above shows the original house on West 10th Street in Schuyler that served the community as its monastery from 1935 until 1979 when we relocated to Fuller Hill four miles north of Schuyler. In 1997, we opened our retreat house and conference facility, St. Benedict Center. Read more about our history at www.missionmonks.org under Blog – Benedictine Mission House.
