My name is Walter Torres Surís and I'm discerning the priesthood. I am particularly attracted to the Traditional Rite of the Mass, that is, the Latin Mass. I am from Puerto Rico, an island in the Caribbean and also a commonwealth territory of the U.S.A., I am 27 years old, baptized and confirmed in the faith.
The purpose of my letter to you is to beg you for prayers regarding my discernment to the priesthood.
Not more than 2 years ago I had a miraculous conversion back to Catholicism thanks to our beloved Mother Mary and her powerful weapon, the rosary. I now understand the power of the Holy Mass, the Eucharist, the rosary, etc. I did not have regular access to these in my early teen years, even though I studied at a Marian Catholic School. How important it is to have daily mass, receive the Eucharist, pray the daily rosary, go to regular confession, etc. I wish I knew my faith earlier, I wish I was exposed more frequently to these powerful weapons. How important it is to have Holy Priests.
I am interested and pulled towards the Traditional Latin Mass, and so are my closest spiritual friends. A major factor in my conversion was the Traditional Latin Mass, and here in P.R. there is no regular access to the Traditional Latin Mass, despite this fact the number of traditional Catholics is slowly but surely rising.
My spiritual director is a very holy priest, also from Puerto Rico. He is truly vested, zealous, solicitous and compromised in taking care of my eternal soul and, in helping me reach the highest degree of perfection possible, and sainthood above all else.
I implore thee to pray for me in discerning the priesthood, and that I may only do what He wants and asks of me.
I’ll be going to an Ignatian Discernment Retreat from (8 day retreat) from June30th-July8th. Please keep me in your prayers during these dates.
It does not seem strange to me that it is His holy will to inspire so many young Catholics with the desire of following the Traditional form of the Mass, the Latin Mass.
May Our Lady of Fatima always keep you under her mantel.

mane adstabo tibi et videbo quoniam non deus volens iniquitatem tu es
