On behalf of the monks of Christ the King Priory I am sending you prayerful greetings these early days of June, dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

From the early years in our history, we Missionary Benedictines have a special devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus that inspires our ministries wherever we work, especially the compassion of Jesus and HIS love for us all. This year, the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is celebrated on Friday, June 27. It is also the Titular Feast of the Missionary Benedictine Congregation of St. Ottilien to which our monastery belongs.

Pope Leo XIV invites the faithful to join him in prayer during June, as stated in a video message released on June 3:

“Let us pray that each one of us might find consolation in a personal relationship with Jesus, and from his heart, learn to have compassion on the world.

The monks of Christ the King Priory/Benedictine Mission House will include your needs and intentions in our prayers, and especially at the celebration of Holy Mass on June 27. I invite you to let us know your intentions.
